‘Teen Mom’ Star Amber Portwood has Head Injury in Rehab
This teen mom cannot seem to catch a break. The MTV reality show cast member of Teen Mom, Amber Portwood, recently entered a rehab facility after a reported suicide attempt last month. Although Portwood is at this facility to seek help to support her mental health, she is apparently still struggling to stay safe. Portwood was rushed to the Emergency Room this weekend after an accident at the rehab facility, falling and hitting her head.
Portwood was then transported to the hospital on Saturday morning as a result of the fall. The head injury was reportedly found to be a minor one and Amber was released from the hospital the same day. Portwood has reportedly returned to the rehab center and will continue to receive treatment.
This incident comes after reports surfaced that Portwood was hospitalized for a few days after an apparent suicide attempt in June. The Teen Mom star has allegedly been struggling with depression and anger issues and is currently seeking treatment to help her cope with these problems.
Amber Portwood is originally from Anderson, Indiana and was a cast member on the MTV reality show, 16 and Pregnant as well as the spin-off series, Teen Mom. Amber’s rocky relationship with her ex-fiancé, Gary Shirley has been the subject of episodes of the show.
Portwood is currently appearing on the follow up series Teen Mom-3 on MTV, which premiered on July 5, 2011.
